Long time i didn´ t post anything, i hope you haven´t missed me.

Well today we are going to talk about the internet and some more things.

So to start, what is the internet?

The internet is a set of computers and devices connected to each other to form a global network that allows information to be exchange between them.

BASIC CONCEPTS

To know how the internet works, it´s necesary to understand some basic concepts.

-Internet service provider (ISP) a company that offers an Internet connection, such as Movistar, Vodafone,Orange,Jazztel etc

-Browser a progam that allows you to view information on web pages.

-Search engine a software system that carries out web searches. It works by creating an index of files containing information related to the search term. 

-Server a computer used to host apps or data, such as a web server ( to host and organize web pages) or an email server ( to send and receive messages).

-URL an address that identifies a specific page on the internet.

-Domain  a unique name given to a webside. 

-IP a number that identifies each of the devices connected to the Internet; it is made up of groups of four figures separated by dots.

-WWW ( World Wide Web) an interconnected document system hat contains text, images, videos and other multimedia content that we can access on the Internet through hypelinks.

-HTTP ( Hypertext Transfer protocol) a protocol that regulates the publication of web pages.

-HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) it is a more secure protocol to protect information that is trasnsfered. It encrypts such information, and for this reason, is used for commercial transactions.
